can 2001 bumper cover fit one 1998 accord coupe?

Postby chinnavan on Jul 28th, '10, 15:20

Hey guys can a 2001-2002 accord coupe bumper fit on a 1998 accord coupe? I need to replace my bumper and wondering if its the same harness, so its just like a easy installation. Does anyone know where i can get the bumper, hood and driver side fender for cheap?
So far the cheapest quote i got was for brand new parts already primed was $90 for fender, $65 for bumper cover, and $125 for hood.

That sounds about right for aftermarket parts. Im going to be swapping my bumper also. So far my research has led me to believe its a direct swap. I didnt know 6th gen coupes fender could be taken off. I think its attached to that half of the car, but I could be wrong.

I found this online,
http://www.hondacarforum.com/honda-tech ... coupe.html

No, it is not a direct bolt on. The 01 bumper is longer. It of course can be done, but for the money it would take you to change it, you might as well buy an aftermarket bumper cover.http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1502084

is it true? and yeh all the parts are aftermarket i think.
here is the company that i am thinking of getting the parts from.

tell me what you guys think and does anyone know any good body shops where i can get all these parts swapped and painted? for a good price
